MOUNT TOUBKAL ASCENT - 4 DAYS TREK

Climbing Mount Toubkal Over 4 days as a circular route via Azzaden Valley; passing by Refuge Azib Tamsoult. It is great way to explore the Toubkal Massif, acclimatize by going over Agelzim peak before ascending Mt Toubkal on day 3.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakech at around 8,00am. Accompanied by an English- speaking guide drive south up over gorges and high passes of the upper valleys to the Berber town of Imlil (1740m). here we shall leave our vehicle to take a welcome glass of mint tea in our guesthouse prior to setting out for 5hours hike towards Azib Tamsoult Refuge passing via Tizi Mzik Pass from where we will have amazing views over the berber valleys. Overnight at a nice Refuge in Tamsoult. 5h walk.

Today involves a fairly stiff climb out of the Azzaden Valley to the Toubkal refuge over the Aguelzim mountain pass at 3600 m. Lunch will be taken with spectacular views over the Atlas mountain range. Overnight in the Toubkal refuge (Neltner Hut) where you will likely be sharing a bunk room with other trekkers tackling Toubkal early the next morning. 6h walk.

Wake up early for the climb towards Mt Toubkal (4,167 m) from where you will have wonderful views over the High Atlas mountains and the Sahara desert. After that,a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Aremd village where you will spend the night at a nice lodge. 7 to 8h walk.

After breakfast, walk down to Imlil valley from where you will be picked up and drive back to Marrakech. 30mintues walk plus 1h30 drive.
